Default im new :( got a question

Well im kinda new to this whole car thing. i just bought a 97 civic hatchback and i was wondering which model is the best the EX, LX, DX, or any other kind that i might not know so can anyone plz fill me in thanks.

well it depends on what you want the lx/dx is lighter cause it doesnt have all the extra crap in it, but i dont think there was an ek hatch ex only dx...

the hatches have dx and cx(dx the higher model) Coupes and sedans have dx, lx, ex, and si being the higher model

in your case, (96-98) the ex is the best model , having more power and power everything, after your model there is an Si which has a DOHC engine gaining more powers the the other models which has SOHC iono...

just another quick question i never seen CX's HX's or Ek's those the samething as for eample LX DX just diffrent names ?

EK (EG, EF, etc) are chassis codes for certain years of production.

CX, HX are less common 'stripped down' versions of the DX trim level.
LX is the 4 door (which is not light)
EX will have a vtec motor making more power (d16y8 for EK), but its a heavier car due to the extra options that come on them.
SI is the top of the line civic, some have sohc vtec, some have dohc vtec. Search and you'll find a lot more.
