I think I may put together a 42mm setup for a ported, high compression Z6 here in the near future. If I do, I'll document and post the whole project.

just stating that the TWMs (which you sell) are better, and not saying why they are better, makes you look shady.

Not if done correctly. I've seen a 42mm setup on a very mild 2 liter produce 183 hp and 177 tq. The setup on my last daily driver ended up making 11 horsepower over stock at 6k rpms on a stock B16 longblock.

It's true that many of the homemade setups suck, but making a general statement that all of them suck is complete ignorance. It's true that a name brand setup carries more potential, but that potential can only be realized with tons of additional mods. On mild/stock motors, you really don't need something with that kind of potential and can often make similar power on an inferior setup. Let's not get into the whole fuel atomization/diameter/air velocity issue in this thread.

I've recently purchased a car to build as a race car and it's likely that I'll need something more than a homemade setup for the motor once it's complete. I have nothing against the professional well-made setups, but for many applications they simply aren't necessary.

what i was saying is that when you go homemade you take the chance of them not working properly also the amount of time spent making, re adjusting and troubleshooting is not worth it , ive seen homemade itbs that ended up costing 30.00 cheaper than production ones but took forever to get to work ... "how come there is never enough time to do it right the first time, but there is always time to re-do it 3 times"
