Auto Teg tranny going crazy? NEED HELP!
Hi Im new to the forum and I have a big question to ask; what the hell is going on with my car? My car is a 1995 Integra LS with an auto, and all I did was put new belts and a full intake system in it. People think Im bullshitting, but I can break the tires going through gears (w/o dropping the gears) by just leaving the gas pedal on the floor, and its ripping its motor mounts apart. Someone who gave me the benefit of the doubt said it might be my tranny? Is the torque converter in my car capable of doing all this, or is my engines ECU just going crazy, or could it be something else? I hope someone else has dealt with this, because its confusing the hell out of me and its pissing a lot of people off because they think Im feeding them a load of bullshit.
how many miles are on your car? because if its ripping through your mounts then its prob time to replace them if you have a high amount of mileage on your car, and by breaking the tires do you mean that your tires are spinning off the line? because if that is the case you prob just need better tires or your tires arent warm enough to grip the ground
The car has 98k on it and the mount thats broke was replaced recently. The tires will squeak a little off the line, but when it goes into second it shifts pretty hard and can full out break the tires loose, even if I drive around for a little bit before doing so. I fear a sensor on the tranny could be the problem but Im not sure. My tires are very good, mid/high grade Yokohamas on 14 inch wheels. If anyone has had this problem or thinks they know why my car is doing this let me know, its my daily driver and I need it lol. Thanks all!
I'm not really following what you are saying but I'll take a stab at this. I'm guessing your tranny is slipping and then locking up later in the rpm range. Kinda like free reving and then going into gear. I would think think either your converter is slipping or something inside your tranny like the clutches are going out. Try flushing the system and see if that helps.

Hmm not sure, my tranny never got that bad. It probably could, but it might also be the clutch plates, which you would have to replace. They are basically a stack of clutches that come together to shift by itself, and they work much like a regular clutch only there's more of them and the dynamics in shifting is different. But, being like them means that they wear out like a normal clutch, and like a normal clutch can slip and have trouble grabbing gears if they're too worn. You might want to check into that if you're tranny is slipping while it shifts, just from personal experience from GASP a Dodge Stratus w/ a V6. Nobody gives them credit, but to get back on point, the V6 eventually killed the clutch plates in the tranny (although the tranny itself wasnt meant for a V6 in the first place) and it slipped just like you explained. Try the solenoid, it is money well spent, but you might want to look into the clutch plates also, especially if the car is old and/or has higher mileage. Hope this helps!
