Default best turbo for 400 hp d16z6

looking for at least 350 to 400 hp out of a d16z6 thanks

i currently have pistons rods and head studs, do i also need slevees for this kind of h.p. thanks

yes you will need some sort of sleeve for the piston to sit in,

My friend tried it without and it made some hateful *** noise

do i need aftermarket sleeves like darton or i can use stock sleeves

Can't remember exactly who, but they did 400whp, 302wtq on a D16. Benson sleeves held fine, he just had a valve snap at 7k while testing his 2-step. I've seen a bunch of 300+'s on stock sleeves. Honestly, I'd say go b-series if you're after more than 300hp. That one reason you chose your project before you buy stuff

SC61 would be the better bet on stock sleeves, SC34 with good amount of boost could do it too. I'd say get it professionally tuned, especially if it's stock sleeves.
