Default Bench Racing

I Have an 89 Civic DX Hatchback that i have fully gutted.

There should be around 300-400 lbs. taken out of the car.

It has a full Si conversion done to it(91 Si wiring, ecu, engine, tranny).

The d16a6 has a 4-1 header to a stock cat and the piping is cut after the resonator.

Car has tein s-tech springs on stock struts with generic 10 inch wide tread street tires(185/55/14).

First question is what is the weight of other gutted hatches after actually being weighed.

And second, what do you think the 1/4 mile time will be.

I will be on here the actual weight and time after I have that info. Just looking for something to shoot for.

based on the info you gave:

16.5 with a pro driver]
16.5-17,0 with you driving,

however if you forgot some info or gave more detail i could get a better idea for you

mid to high 15s? its a 106hp stock motor, if its freshly rebuilt maybe, but the mods done dont add much of anything. The header is great but there is no exhaust to go with it, no intake to send in more air. the springs are progressive rate anyways so they act as stock springs, and coupled with stock struts it probably hurts more than it helps. Now granted the car is probably light, very light, but there are no substantial mods to help it.

all depends on how strong the motor is, and the driver, one of my friends had a 90 si with full interior, that just had a flowmaster, an ebay intake, and heated springs in the front and his best was 15.3's, i was kinda shocked myself when i saw it, but its no lie

Eh anything is possible, I got 15.3 with a B16 and I/H/E, good dr4iving always helps. I myself can barley drive an automatic.

my buddy ran a 15.8 in a 89 HF with d16a6, with only an intake and shity all season tires, he had no traction and a **** load of wheel hop, plus the track was absolutly horrable.
