Default Replaced pads and rotors and brakes squeaking/ squeeling

My pads and rotors are brand new all around. I have powerslot rotors (slotted/dimpled) with hawk pads in the front and AEM pads in the rear. The fronts squeel pretty bad and it's starting to get annoying. They wont squeak if I brake hard, just light braking. When I installed them I didnt use brake lube on the pads, could this be why?? If this is the reason should I take em off and put some on?? would that cure the problem or does it not matter?

Yes your brakes are squeaking beacause either the goop was not put on the pads and/or your anti-rattle clips are going bad. Its is not a safety issue however like you said it is getting annoying. So if you want to stop the squeaking definetly put the goop on the back of the pads and you might want to look at doing you anti-rattle clips at the same time

Which Hawk pads are you using? I tried many Hawk pads in the past, and they all squeel.

performance pads are louder than stock as well.

you have two things contributing to the noise

When you say loud to mean over all noise or just the squeaking itself

the retainer clips shouldn't be causing any noise, but the lack of grease on the pads sure can. grease the slide pins while you're at it.
