i was just wondering if anyone has ever turbo'd there auto tranny integra? i had a 90 integra ls turbo, and im puttin that turbo set up on my new integra but its an auto and i was jw if anyone knows how well they respond to boost, i dont plan on leavin it that long im gonna go 5spd conversion later but just want to have a lil fun before winter.....so any info would be greatly appercaited!

 

Of course thats a dumb question, A better question is how much HP can the Auto Tranny Hold.

I wouldn't stress an auto tranny in stock form over 220whp. That might be pushing it too. They can be upgraded though internally to handle more power.

if u got factory warranty from the dealer they're not gonna give you a new tranny cuz the turbo didn't come with the car and it wasn't a a mechanical problem if you caused the problem your responsible

 

warranty from a lot were they sell used trannys

 

havent heard a bout a turbo automatic but once heard from someone that if they got a supercharged H22(prelude) automatic they r set 4 life which 1) i doubt 2) doubt hes a real reace 3) he prolly hates manual or cant drive stick

 

a friend of mine turbo'd his auto integra (show car). it wasen't fast.

 

ya i dont thikn its gonna b that fast at all, maybe from a roll but i doubt it, the only thing thats cool bout it is never loose boost threw gears, but like i said i just wnat to drive the car boosted for hte next couple months til winter hten go and do the auto to manual conversion

 

i boosted my auto. tranny holds fine at 12 psi. slapped up a 5 speed gsr on stock injectors at half throttle (chokes real bad at full throtttle past 5k rpms). gas milage sucks. and on the highway pay attention to ur speedometer cause ull be at 100 in no time.

T3/T4 60 trim
Turbonetics waste gate
Homemade downpipe
Homemade intercooler piping
Stock injectors (until tranny swap)

not even a 5-speed integra can handle over 230 hp.

engine will blow or ur clutch will fail.

unless you want to spend money to beef up ur clutch and block.

u can spend 5g's to do that, and i can buy a 89 turbo automatic supra for 1 grand and still keep up with any turbo teg. hahaha

 

all your really need is a 5spd and a good racing clutch don't have to build your block just use a really good engine management system like neptune or something and you could make 300whp+ with a good turbo setup around 12psi

dont deny the fact that a stock 89 autmatic turbo'd supra can keep up with most street turbo tegs.

I've seen it many of times.

 

I'm not bagging on supras, but I've seen turbo supras get sawed off by all motor hondas. What would an auto 89 supra run stock? 15.0? I sure hope a turbo teg could pull that one off.

 

yeah honda motors have potential i know some all motor eg's that ran 13's on an si block. cant just look down on a honda motor because they're 4bangers

 

when money, any car can have potential.
