Transmission Bearing? Which ones and where to get them??
my input shaft bearing is gone in my gsr tranny, and while i have the tranny out to replace the clutch (centerforce blows) I want to replace the bearings on the main shaft , countershaft, and diff while i am at it. not the needle bearings inside the gears, just the big bearings on the ends of the shafts.
Does anyone know the dimensions of the bearings or part numbers that i can cross reference??
Dimensions would be best, so i can go to local bearing shop and get them before i pull the tranny apart. trying to minimize downtime
Thanks
Burke

I just did this on a D series last week. Bearings came in 4 days from http://www.hondapartsdeals.com and I couldn't beat the price. Looking at the bearing designs, except for the input shaft bearing, you most likely won't find them easily at a reasonably sized bearing distributor...
HPD has the best shipping around...........
but the online pics suck.........
So I use SL Honda to get the good pics, then order from HPD.

Warning, the money you saved might not be worth the headache of reshimming the entire tranny.
2-3 hours of headaches not worth it IMHO.
