Default turbo b18b1 gas

ok so if i have a b18b1 that is turboed but the motor is stock do i have to run 92 octane gas or can i still run 87 or 89 comments are appreciated thanks

Depends what your compression ratio is, but yes, you will more than likely want to run higher octane.

Run 92, your stock compression ratio is 9.4:1ish I think, add boost and there is no doubt you need the extra octane.

its 9.2, and yes it would be a good idea to run 92

you have no other choice. unless you want to add octane boost to every tank of gas you purchase.

thats a bad statement. His choice is to not run a turbo. 91 is fine.

I was tuned on 92, I run 87 daily, I hit full boost daily, no issues. If I take it to the track though, I get the tank almost empty and fill up a little over half with 93 to get it pretty close.
