When i turn the key the motor cranks but does not start.
The main relay does work
I smell fuel....so i know i have no fuel delivery
when i pull the #1 plug I get a spark every 4 revolutions
I can hear the starter engaging the flywheel and also see the crank pulley and cam pulley turn
It has a brand new distributor cap and main relay
Btw it is a d15b2

Please help I'm at wits end

Also replace ignition rotor & coil.

all the dash lights turn on when the switch is put in the #2 position
most of the time its just the starter turning the motor but i just got it to run as long as the starter was cranking

ignition rotor?....its only 2 months old and the cap is 2 maybe 4 days old

 

well know ive got it running again....it ran fine yesterday but today the idle is all over the place i think the car is cursed

 

so what did you do

a few more things i was going to suggest were, clutch saftey switch and grounds

 

what has been done to the hatch? any mods etc bone stock, prior history of problems .....
