Default Ep3 Greddy turbo kit or custom?

first off, i've been coming here for a while looking up info, and i know alot of people that post here, so i figured i'd finaly post on here also

well i'm getting a 2002 si next week or so and the first thing i'm going to do is turbo it, i dont really want alot of power(400-500) but i'd like to be able to upgrade the system in the future.

A local shop to me wants 4900 installed for a kit including Hondata K pro and a T3 super 60, new injectors etc... he said it was good for 350-400 whp. i dunno if thats stock intenals or not.

i havent heard back from them with answers to my questions though. how much power will this make? what psi? what manifold? etc...

I was thinking aout just getting the greddy w/intercooler or Rev-hard kit, mostly due to cost. not that i'm afraid or dont have the money to spend, i just see the greddy or rev-hard kit fitting my current needs more. but the shop is pushing their custom kit.

does anyone have any experience with the Kseries greddy kits or rev-hards? problems? etc...

or would the custom kit be my best bet to go? i just need a second opinion on the prefab kits thanks guys and gals

and btw, ive had a del sol with a B18, and a civic ex setup for autoX, i just dont know turbo K series motors at all

thanks again in advance~

if drivability and smog checks are not an issue, id go with the custom kit. on the other hand if u want reliability, the greddy and revhard kit are more suited for daily drivers.

If you're looking for about 400 whp from a kit you should be looking at the full-race one. Mated with K-pro and a good tuner you'll get reliabilty and power.

I've always been a fan of GReddy simply because their known for their relabilty. However... Greddy's kit doesn't come with an Intercooler, unless they've added one since i got mine, so you would need to plan for that. Now i've been told from a few people that the IC kit from Greddy comes with one of the best IC cores on the market, if this is wrong someone please correct me.

But if you're serious about getting that 400whp and reliably i wouldn't trust anyone else but Full-Race

just installed the revhard on my 2002 civic si and it has enough power for the time being at 7 psi but 10 psi for the strip it cheap and come with everything you need

if u wanted full race revhard make a kit for 4500 with everything

I don't think the Greddy and Revhard are that much of a difference....with low 14s and 12s you're talking a good 50-60 HP difference. But I've been told that the Greddy and Revhard are almost identical when it comes to the amount of power produced. As long as you have the Greddy tuned with K-Pro hondata.
