9.5@79mph in the 1/8th mile... that was with a 2.6sec 60ft, clutch was slipping and shitty tires. i could have squeezed 8's out of it if those were fixed. that was on a d15b7 stock internals with a 14b running 8psi, tuned on uberdata.

i saw this guy at the track with a sohc boost setup and he broke in to the 10's that day. I believe his quickest time was like a 10.87, i was impressed. He wouldnt say what his build was or what psi he was set at. He was on slick too. pretty sick single cam if you ask me

Well its not exactly under you original post.

I have a stock internal d16y8 with gt28rs on 9.5 lbs. Its was about 97* outside that night. Ran a 9.01 @ 84mph in the 1/8 mile. There were some other mino bugs with the car but would have only made a coule tenths difference.

2muchboost2blow, what's your setup? Precisely, what have you done to the engine to ensure it doesn't break loose (i.e. arp studs, headgasket, different radioator... stuff like that).

i'm boosting my b7 soon and that info would be much appreciated

Well after looking at your CX partout thread, I guess I'll interject something. Since that thread was dealing with hondas not being 'serious': drop $2k into a civic's engine bay, which includes the swap & turbo. What will win, a d15 or a b18c1? Obviously the d-series, since any B put in there would have to either be stolen or blown to **** for only $2k. D-series offer some of the best performance for their pricetag, don't be like that.

Specificly, the d15's don't have near the potential the d16's do (assuming stock head). A split between the vtec sohc's and a d15 would be a d16y7 - fjt's runs started in the mid 12's with a full weight ek hatch. With a mild buildup, the d15 would be much more capible, but I'd rather spend a few bucks more to do the same to a d16.

basically that setup was all stock. i had a crx hf manifold i ported, bolted the 14b onto that, no internals, never cracked the motor open. stock half eg radiator, y8 intake manifold, 450cc injectors, running uberdata to control it. motor had 210k miles, but made within 10psi compression each cylinder. finally died from overboosting around 15-17psi when boost spiked after the wastegate seized.

the rods are pretty weak though, they're gonna be your eventual downfall with the d15. i havent had any such problem with the d16y7 or y8. the d15b7, though..... well... i'll let pictures speak for themselves. this was my overboosted motor.

my uncles 93 civic dx hatch with d15b2, b7 was done when he got it.

hf mani, t25, 2.5in downpipe full 2.5inch exhaust crushbent, shitty 2in. crushbent chargepiping, volvo bov, starion fmic...and no fuel management, just an eclipse fuel pump and a fpr set at 65-68psi, ran 14.2 with 8psi it blew up 11 months later after a 11psi pull. beating a low 13 sec gsx.
