Turbo LSvtec thoughts
Tell me generaly what you think about this set up, 1/4 mile time, hp, tq. or just your thoughts, this is an idea of a project I have;
B18a1 block
B16 head
p3f (B20B) pistons/rings/pins
OEM B-series 3-layer Headgasket
B18a1 crank and rods/bearings
GSR camshafts
DSM 450 injectors
Ported intake manifold
B16 (S1?) Transmission
Running 18-25 pounds of boost, intercooled in a 88 CRX SI.
of course the givin on any built motor would include adjustable cam gears, fuel pump/regulator/rail, full exhaust, ect. ect.
This should get about 8.6:1 compression ratio, if you think more boost could be run on this c/r how much, and what turbo would be best to use?

not to thread jack or anything but i've got i mildly built ls/vtec (blockguard, JE forged pistons/Eagle rods, p&p head, supertech valves, spring, retainers, gsr cams, etc.) and i was wondering what kind of boost i should/could run on my setup. Its got 10.4:1 compression pistions (JE Flat-tops) thinking about running a kinda small t3/t4 setup lookin for only 300-350 whp at the max... Ive already got OBD1-hondata and all. just wondering what kind of boost you think i might have to run to reach my goals and if my motor would be able to reach those goals with my current compression ratio.
I realize this should be a totally different thread in a different section (Forced Induction) but just looking for some input. sorry for the long *** post and running off with your post. any input will help! (already searched)

I think you need to give your setup another look. Why dont you just tell us how much power you want to make. Then we would be able to help you figure out what turbo would be best for those power goals.
I'm pretty sure the p3f pistons are 84mm, so either you have the wrong bore pistons, you're gonna sleeve the block and you forgot to mention it, or I just got my bore sizes mixed up. Either way I dont see what you are even looking at OEM type pistons if you are gonna turbo the motor. If you're piecing it together why not just get some upgraded pistons (CP, Wiseco) and rods (Eagle).
If I were to tell you how much powr your setup could support, then I would say around 300HP. The reason is those DSM 450cc's are only good for approximately that much power. Unless of course you are planning on running 18-25 psi on a tiny *** T25 and only looking to make 300HP.
