negative, never cut your oem harness. it will be a pain in the *** to reconnect and will cost a lot more than two harness's to fix. if the cd player is from a 99-00 civic then you will need to buy two harness's: one to plug into your oem eg harness and the another ek REVERSE harness to convert the EG oem plug into EK oem plug (reverse harness) and then your 99-00 civic cd player will plug right in.

Agreed, spend the money on another harness. The previous owner of my car cut the OEM harness and it caused unimaginable problems. I REALLY wish he hadn't.

you will probably a
70-1720 and 71-1721

On another note, not all Hondas changed over to the "newer" plugs at the same time, the years run from pre 86, [1388] then from 86 to 97/98 and then from 97/98 and newer, and there is even a 96 and newer, [1782] on some Honda's, so 4 diff. plugs for Honda/Acura between 86 and now and 2 diff. ones now, depending on year and model, the change over started in 96/97/98 and by 99 most had made the change, to the 1721, but they never did change from the 1720 on the Integra, [here in Canada anyway] the other one used today is the 7712, [96 and up Passport, pre 96 used the 1782].
But you are probably right about the ones he needs, depending on the years. 94
