I currently have a sony tape player installed in my car from previous driver. I am buying a new cd player today and am wondering if I would need an installation kit or wiring harness to install it? Not sure if the wiring for the tape player will match up with cd player.

 

I doubt the harness will be the same. You can either buy the necessary harnesses to make the unit plug and play, or you can manually connect each wire. Depends on you.

 

The stock to aftermarket wireharness is the same I bet...you will have to cut the wires from your cassette deck to the aftermarket wire harness and connect the new deck wire harness to the aftermarket one...
You shouldnt need to buy anything other than the new deck

 

thanks for the help. I didn't need anything else. Just had to pop out the tape player and unhook the wires and they fit perfectly into the new cd player.
