Need help asap...in the process of install right now!
Well i have a 96 ek and i am installing a 95 Ls engine. I bought a 96' Ls harness and converted all of the plugs on the harness to obd1. The problem is that the engine harness will not plug up to my under-dash harness! did i buy the wrong engine harness? Any solutions to this prob? what are my choices? Thanks guys
Just use the ek harness and cut/extend wires as needed. You will need to replace injector clips, alternator plug, distibutor plug and cut/extend iacv plug. You will also have to replace the crank sensor on the plug as one of them is a three wire and the other is a two wire. I think this is it but if I remember anymore ill post back.

How much easier is it then running your factory harness that came out of your car? Your main problem is you chose to run an obd1 motor which brings up all kinds of wiring issues. Run your original harness and extend the wires as needed. Use the Ls harness as a donor for the plugs you need(ie injectors, alt,IACV,dist). Most obd2 people run an obd2 motor as a swap. Im sure there are companies that sell complete harnesses but itll just be $$$$. For more specifics, just do a search and im sure youll find what you need.
No the ex harness will have the same issues you have now.
Edit from previous post: you dont have a crank position sensor on the LS motor. It is in the distibutor.
