Default new d16z6 swap: shifting doesn't feel right

So I finaly got my d16z6 into my 92 lx.well it runs ok, I havn't went on the freeway yet, just around the block.when I shift it doesn't feel like it did befor.the gears are in diferent places and the shifter is not centered.does this mean my shifter linkage is bent?it still shifts into gear correctly(I think)buit it just doesn't "feel" right.does anyone know what I'm saying.I feel like such a newb.anyway, would love to hear someones opinion on this.

peace

check your linkage... that's given... sounds bent or maybe upside down.... if all is straight and correctly installed, might be a bushing on your shift stick, i had a pos short shift and the ball on the stick slipped down and it just felt plain bad, shorter shifts though, but thats bad it'll beat up your shift forks... also if all is good with everything above, you've maybe got bent shift forks...
