To get a camber kit or not?
Well i drive a 96 hatch and my car is dropped on ground control rolling on stock wheels. I haven't gotten an alignment yet but already see the camber wear. I heard i can get my aligment done and tell them to fix my toe to stock so i don't have bad tire wear but i was just informed that the toe adjustment wont last very long. I'm about to pick up a set of wheels, but i don't want to throw them on and mess up the tires. i was thinking about getting a camber kit untill i see the thread about the camber kit hitting the engine bay. so now i dont know what to do. Also i hear putting washers in the rear will work fine right? no need to get a rear camber kit too is there?
So what's the best option to do? TIA

i have skunk2 on mine and theyre just fine but when i went to get my car aligned i learned i had to get lower control arms for my tires to clear my fenderwell. everything looks great now and there is no chamber wear and i havent had any prob w/ the kit.
Ingall's is a diff design than skunk2/omni. I've run them on my car for 2 yrs now without any issues. Camber wear is pretty negligible though, if you're seeing a big difference, its because of your toe.

yeah i hear the tire wear is caused from the toe, but i also heard getting your toe adjusted without a camber kit won't last long (toe setting). is it true?

never heard of that. I know that your toe setting can get thrown off over a period of time, but I don't know how the camber kit would help stop that. I got a camber kit so my tires would sit flat when I launch at the track for better traction. Negative camber helps in the turns. That's how I would decide whether or not to get one if i were you.

I only have Skunk2 lowering springs (2.25ish " drop) and I bought my Proxes 4s in like January. Had it aligned/tires balanced and still don't have any camber wear...
Autozone sells up to 3 degree adjustable ball joints, i bought just a 1 degree because i needed a replacement and it was cheaper than 3, it made my camber very noticeable more positive...on that side.
Edit: It's Advance, not Autozone.
