Default Engine misses at idle

Ive got a 92 LS with the 1.8 DOHC of course. When idling it seems to miss and idles extremely low. Upon acceleration it may miss a little but will pick up in other words it doesnt miss at higher RPMs. It does this when cold and when warmed up. I have recently replaced the coil, plugs and wires. I got plugs that were pre-gapped, checked them before installation and they at spec. Any advice would be appreciated.

could be your dist. cap. start the car and while its running , pull the spark plug wire one at a time and see if there is a change in the engine. It should bog when you pull a spark plug wire out and you should hear the spark from the wires also. You might be running on three cylanders. Do that and post the out come.

Wow I have the same problem. Somehow my car seem to run freaking rich. Pull the spark plugs and it was black as heck. Then I try pulling the wire out and on cylinder 3, it wouldn't do a damn thing to it. So I'm guessing, my car is running on 3 cylinder. What could cause that?

Mine did the same thing. I did a valve adjustment and it fixed it. They were real tight so the valve was staying open and that's what was causing no compression to that one cylander.

Did you recently remove your head or change cams? If so, you need to adjust the valve clearance.
