What would i be running if i put a jdm h22 in a 89 hatch dx?
What would i be running if i put a jdm h22 in a 89 hatch dx? Also what would i have to do so i wont have any problems hooking up? Would i have any other things i would have to look more into?

there are so many variables of what his quarter mile time would be...there is a guy on this board that is running a 14.0 with his h22 ef...with a good driver, slicks,IHE, deep 13 if not 12s...yes the b series motors rev quicker than the h... but for a 100 extra pounds u can get an h motor that can almost run with a k...
as far as things u gotta look into...mounts... no one i know of has mounts available for h22 swap in EFs except for a user on this board...he goes by the name explicit something...

Dont do it. You cant even find mounts made by a reputable company. You might be able to find custom ones made by someone with a garage and welder.
Stick with the tried and true Bseries swaps, they are lighter, fit better, and haver more aftermarket support. and their trannies are better, they like boost. the list goes on and on.
I will not recomend a H swap until ATLEAST someone makes some mounts for it.

in the september issue of sport compact car they had a good write up on how to put a h22 into a crx. and in the write up they had hasport mounts... i can't find the mounts on their website but i suggest calling and asking about it.
