auto tranny engine swap

Default auto tranny engine swap

I have a 89 dx hatch. can i fit an engine from a 90-93 integra ls auto. i dont have $$$ to convert it to stick. and i can get that engine cheap. also can i put a zc from a crx si and hook it up to my dx tranny with no modifications????

it might fit but you would have to make mounts for the b18 i dont know of anyone making auto mounts

I think I've read that the B-series auto trannies won't fit in the small EF engine bay. And yes, you can use your DX tranny on a ZC motor, it will bolt right up.

I'm getting ready to take the DOHC ZC out of my rex and put in an 89 auto dx hatch I got to use as a DD while I work on the rex. I'm going to be keeping it auto. Things I've found out so far. you will need either an PS9 ECU or an auto PG7 from an 88-89 integra. You will also need the kickdown cable, bracket, and throttle rotor from an auto that already has MPFI as the ones from the DX won't work. I got mine from an 89 accord, but can't garentee those work yet.
