upper ball joint
i need to replace my driver side ball joint. it's causing both my front tires to wear out on the inside edge. i got a quote that it'd be 170 just for that one ball joint. i'm thinking why do that when i can replace both with skunks adjustables upper arm with ball joint for less - for the pair. any comment?
ok are you running at stock height or are you slammed? are your balljoint boots torn? have you had an alignment? what kind of wheel/tire combo do you have? if you are stock, and your balljoints are fucked up then just get a pair of used upper control arms off of ebay or the h-t classifieds. they are pretty cheap. i think you can probably get a good used pair for less than $100. if you are dropped, then the skunk2 kit is what you need. i am dropped on neuspeed sports with 17's and i had the same problem until i got the skunk2 kit and an alignment. now i have minimal tire wear. hope this helps
i'm running all stock suspension with 205/50/15 tires. the ball isn't torned - just a slight clicking noise when you rock it back and forth. alignment shound be good - tracks tru. it shouldn't be a problem if it isn't lowered, right? i mean the skunks should have the adjustment for stock setting i hope. anyway, what should i look it up under in ebay for the joints? are they new?

even if it doent' pull or drift that dont mean ****. your toe could be off. when was the last time you had an alignment. hitting potholes and **** can **** up your alignment settings. the camber is not adjustable in honda's, but toe is. if you ball joint is not messed up just see if your toe is off, or see if any other suspension components are bent/looose/damaged. if you want adjustability get the skunks if you are thinking of lowering your car in the future. they provide +- 2 or 3 degrees of adjustment which is more than you need. just type in integra camber kit or integra skunk2 or some **** and you should find them. they run around 150 shipped. save yourself some money and install it yourself, and go get an alignment immediately after you put it on, becuase you will need it. good luck!
