There Shocks, and they will fit however you will need a spacer on each side as the Del Sol Shock is wider where it attachs to the lca. (I might have this backward.... )

yep you have that backwards. the EK LCA shock mounting bushing is narrower than the EG/DC2/DelSol.

IF the shocks come with washers to space out the the bushings simply do not use them and you'll be fine.
otherwise you will have to either grind down your LCA bushings or pick up some different rear shocks.

the shocks didnt come with spacers, so i have to get new rear shocks/struts ? i know the fronts fit b/c its on the car right now. and also does del sol and eg hatchbacks rear shocks/struts interchangable?

You really have two options here. They will fit, but the bottom fork on the strut assembly that fits over the LCA is a little wider and therefore will bend a little when you tighten the LCA bolt. Your other option is to get some washers to put in there and utilize those as spacers.

got it backwards.

the EK LCA bushing is narrower than the delsol/EG. to use EK AGX rear shocks, you'll need to grind/machine down then rear lower shock bushing. i did it on my old EG hatch. takes about 30min with a bench grinder.

Whoops, you're right. I stand corrected. But it can be made to work.

grinding the bushing = removing material from both sides of the bushing to make it narrower so it fits the lower mount of the shock.

96-00 rear LCAs are significantly longer than yours.

I have heard of a few (ghetto) people that spread the lower mount to fit on the wider bushing but it's not recommended.
