Default B16a EG wont start - but just clicks when the key's turned... HELP!!!

I've been having problems with my car starting poorly for nearly a year. Usually when I try to start the car before its warmed up (it is REALLY shitty in the winter) it'll crank with the fuel pump on, but the motor sounds like its a firing at the wrong time cause the motor makes clunking sounds and only actually starts after 3-6 times of cranking which usually results in flooding the motor. Of course once its running EVERYTHING works great.

Well this morning I cranked it as usual and it made the noises, but then it just stopped cranking.
When I turn the key or push the clutch in I can hear the starter engaging (clicking) but it wont turn the motor. Then if I turn the crank manually I can hear the starter click again as it retracts.

Pop starting works, but does this sound like an electrical problem to anyone? Please help!!!

Thanks!

Yea its deffiently a proplem,

Check your battery connections for corosion and clean if need be. I belive baking soda and water works for this?

Double check your wiring by making sure its tight. Just give it a tug to be sure.

Check out your battery, and alternator (Free test at Auto Zone still I belive)

If I had a guess Id say its a bad starter. (Worn spot that wont let you start unless its ligned up just right.) (Starter should also be a free test once you remove it and bring it in to them) Its fairly easy to remove two bolts on the top of the transmission.

also, check your clutch button where the pedal presses against a small button behind the fuse box. and all your grounds by thermostat, valve cover, starter etc. like they said^^^^

You might want to keep comments like this to yourself. Calling someone a moron only makes you look even more like one when you're driving a Vx B20 VTECH?? Monster.

THanks for the replys guys, turned out the car starts when I beat on the starter with a hammer, so looks like thats the problem.

I'm gonna replace engine grounds too just beause after a few years Wisconsin winters really corrode anything copper.
