Has anyone had this problem with '02 s2000 throwing a p0411 after mods installed?
Hi All,
You are my last hope....I installed an AEM V2 cold air intake, as well as, a Comptech Header and Catback. Now and at anytime for no reason I throw a check engine code P0411: Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Code. I can't tie it with anything...ex. High RPM, Low RPM, Etc. The "kids" that did the work for me are clueless....Honda just keeps troubleshooting it and says it's fine. Then bam it trips again. Any thoughts or suggestions for a work-around would be greatly appreciated.

"secondary air injection" means ur secondary O2 sensor (the one in the cat) .. same thing happen when i installed my header and exhaust too ... replace it with a new one, its about 200 bux (ouch) ... i got mine for FREE

Same thing happened to a friend's S, his secondary O2 sensor just lost its tip somewhere in the exhaust stream. The only difference is that the Honda mechanic was able to pinpoint the actual o2 sensor.
I don't think its $200 for the sensor.. try http://www.majestichonda.com
BTW Not connecting the blowby hose will throw a CEL. Also make sure your airpump hose that dumps into the intake is also not kinked or restricted, as that will throw a CEL also. I think that could be another variation of "Secondary Air Injection".

Is it easy to install...can I just crawl underneath vehicle and pinpoint the sec o2 sensor or what?....sorry I'm a noob when it comes to sgrewing around with these cars.
When I say the mechanic pinpointed the o2 sensor, I meant that he was able to trace the cause of the problem all the way back to a faulty O2 sensor. It's also a lot easier to trace electronic malfunctions than trying to trouble shoot all your vacumm lines, which would probably take them forever if they can't diagnose a CEL.

ok i admit i didn't even look myself, but it was a good place for him to start. i got a new sensor off ebay for $80. happy now?
P0411 refers to a problem with the air injection system, not the secondary O2 sensor. I recall Jack at P1 Auto created a thread about this problem with an S2K he was working on, never heard what the resolution was though. Maybe he'll see this thread and chime in. I've never encountered that particular problem with an S so I don't have any advice off the top of my head for you.

Fix it and make sure you pull the ECU fuse for 5 minutes and then reset the idle correctly.
