Default help with the 89 civic

i have a 89 civic and i want to put a different engine and tranny i am thinking about putting a h22 in it i was wondering what all will i have to do to get it to work and also what would be the best engine to put in it in the b series?

H motors kill those cars' way to much lb.
I would do a conversion to eather a typeR or a JDM GSR Swap.

u are going to need ECU,wiring harness,Axels,Shiftlinkage custom motor mounts move the batt to the back of the car. this will help https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1202932

for 2700 u can get a gsr swap or h22 for 1850+ 200 for lsd tranny h22 is good motor for the price i know it takes alot of work to make it fit but the right tools you can do anything. aman

the type are nice but no low in Torque 133lb to 158lb h22 come on man

both need alot of work even more so with the H. h22 can't keep A/C not 1/5 of the aftermarket of the Bs.

I'm not ******* h22s swap just pointing that out.

and the type r is no good for turbo i know what u are going to say if you build the motor ok call me a dumb *** but why would u spend 4200-4500 on a type r that if you are going to turbo get a ls or a h22. a ls motor is alot less work to do
