Default 92 Prelude with H23 motor

How easy would it be to make this car Vtec? If this is not possible, can anyone recommend the easiest way to make more power without going all out on a turbo or supercharger?

This will be a daily driver and would like to have more power that what it has.

Thanks.

1. Swap in H22 motor

-or-

2. Swap head with H22 head.

Some light reading for you:

If it will be your daily driver and you want more useable power, I would go for the G23 hybrid.

That's what I would do if I wanted useable power in my daily driver.

H23 Vtec's are rare, but are becoming more common as new light is shed on the durability of these builds.

Whats next on the list? Isnt the 3in exhaust a little over kill? Maybe planning ahead for a little boost?

Sounds good, good luck with the build and keep us H23 owners informed.

yeah no doubt.....i only rev it to about 7200 right now, and dont really feel the need for more since im stock cams and my compression is only 9.5:1 only because the h22 head has a bigger combustion chamber and the head is milled .010"...when all set and done i want to be pushing close to 250whp...but i doubt i will have the h23 bottom end by then...i'll be running close to a 2.5L by then.

What ecu are you running that allows your H23 to rev to 7200 rpms? Isnt the stock rev limiter at 7k?
