i was driving back into town and stopped to talk to a friend at safeway, when i suddenly saw my temp gauge slowly climb.. .. but when i take off the temp gauge goes back down to the middle..i check'd under the hood to see whats going on.. i dont see anything.. other then the fan not turn on..and basically my question is what the hell is the problem... it worked fine the other day.... could it be the relay? or fan motor.. or some sort of sensor.. or maybe even thermostat? im gonna look at it tomarrow and see if the wiring is messed up or sumthing

thermoswitch maybe... it is on the coolant neck by the dist. They should be about 30.00 from Honda. You can test this by getting the engine hot and checking for continuity. Search... there are tons of threads about radiator fan issues.

 

do you have a/c?

if you do, turn it on and see if the fan comes on...

try this then...

 

i had the same prob and, it turned out to be the connector and the switch. i don't think that the two had to do with each other. that fixed the prob for a while then it stopped working again, well would come on when it wanted to, turned out to be a short. havent had a problem with it sense, and that was about four months ago.

 

is it overheating even when you are driving?
