update:the guy denied everything and claimed his car never touched mines. his insurance has no proof and basically told me to **** off. bastards.

hey guys here's the story. my car parked right outside my house i looked out the window (cuz its a GSR) and some dudes door looked like it touching my fender. went downstairs and yup there was a scratch. He said its only about $40 I said ok pay me then. he said no. so we swap info & I made a claim. How much you think im get paid? #1 was inflicted by him for shure cuz I saw it. #2 I didnt see it but I suspect it was him also. car is a 95 gsr

1000-1500$ depending what type of body shop you go to


fender refinishing.

blend door
Remove and install mouldings.

R&I turnin g mirror

Cover vehcile
wet sand and polish

remove front bumper
blend hood

( unless you can get it buffed out)

if its a ghetto shop they may only give you a spot paint and try to feather it in

some insurance companies are ghetto like that

some will try to only repaint the fender itself.

 

a good shop then guy above is right, but 500-1500. you need new tires.

 

hahaha good look out!!

if there is no dent..just do touch up paint and save money for something else

 

i got liability. so my insurance is gonna take the money from his insurance. will this affect the amount? i got AAA he got geico

 

i got less than $900 from insurance for this...

good luck getting $1000 for a couple scratches

ahhaha, you guys r a little to melodramatic about your cars. It's only a small scratch, it's not even 40$ bucks, if it's a dent then i can say yea. But just buy touch-up-paint for like 3.99$ a can and then a clear coat for 3.99$ if it still looks gay then pay some guy 500$ to do the same thing, for a few scratches lOl.

its a lil bit much i agree but hey its yoru car and thats what insurance is for right ?

soem lady tapped me on the back bumper. dented my bumper just a tiny bit and i got 400$ for it. why ? its a brand new car and she did the damage. tried to get away with telling me she didnt have insurance either. crazy bitch was all psycho lookin too.


btw my parents own a body shop.

what would you do? you aint gonna just let it go. the guy refused to pay me ANYTHING. didnt even offer to pay for touch up paint.

Ok, that's messed up, get your money whatever the insurance gives and use like 100$ bucks max on the fix and use the rest, if you get more to hunt that SOB down and get him killed. and his car. and his cat.

eh, don't get me started about insurance companys. Similar story. Some kid ran into the front of my Moms Eddie Bauer Explorer and bashed in the entire front bumper a few weeks ago. Swapped info, then he later denied doing anything wrong. Got an estimate of $2,000 at the local Ford dealer to get it repaired. The evaluator came out the other day and appraised her damage at $700 (even after seeing the Ford dealers estimate), and after the deductable she got a check for $200 Pretty much worthless. Good luck getting anything done about it.

im going through the same thing right now..if the police were not involved and its your word against the other persons and you are filing a claim with his insurance,they will take his word for it unless you can prove it wrong.....good luck, cuz it looks like im out of $409 and im in the exact same boat as you

personally id scratch his car then be like wtf i didnt touch ur car. tit for tat bitch!

and i highly doubt its 1000 dollars for that. scratches such as those are probably like 150 or so for a body shop. do it ur self are probably like 30 bux max.

true, i aint trippin of the scratch. im annoyed at the fact this dude admit it was atleast $40 and said he dont wanna pay me. then he was laughing about it with his friend, now he denied everything.
