Default Boosted Sedans? Few turbo 4g4dr's?

I can't seem to find many boosted 4g4dr's. Mainly curious about the LX/EX EF sedans that kept AC and maybe PS.

Any links or pictures would be welcomed. I have my sedan plans mainly in order, any additional ideas will help though. Thanks.

There's always enough room.

It may need a custom one-off manifold, but it can be done.

I don't understand why nobody is willing to make cool a/c compatible manifolds. i guess they don't sell good.

I'm going to give it a try.

Right now I'm almost done building a d16z6. I am picking up a 91 LX sedan pretty soon and dropping the d16z6 into it. Then after the engine the engine is broke in I will start parting together a simple turbo kit for it.

It's a ways off though, I probably won't have it completed for another 6-8 months or so. I'd like to see other boosted 4 doors.

This is the only boosted 4-door ef that I've seen: http://www.jtuned.com/content/...eid=1

I'm hoping to have already blown my initial sohc block and install my vitara/eagle/zex built motor by then From what I've seen mocking my stuff up, I believe that I can fit at least a t3/t04b s-trim in there, keep AC (PS is a loss due to ef/eg lines), original radiator, and install 2 slim fans in front of the rad. I figure if they're 2.5" thick and there's already ~1.5 between it and the condenser, I'll get the best of both worlds. I'm also hoping for a full 3" dp/exhaust.

I also just though of slapping it all on my brother's $50 mpfi EF, but that's a different sort of sleeper - the type that doesn't just embarass the other driver Alas, my sedan is slow, won't stop till I can beat a local 14:1cr Kingmotors-built ITR teg. That, and a buddy's gutted/boosted b16a hatch.

Why not just do a sidemount style? Like the Sidewinder that Love Fab used to sell?

Relocate your battery and mount it remotely over there on top of the transmission. That should allow you to keep p/s, right?

The main reason I can't do much besides a simple turbo setup - cash. If I could fart $100's, I'd do a Sleeved 2.0L GSR with a GT3x or something.

I love a challenge, and the biggest challenge is to do it ALL for under $4k. My bro just got a deal on a $2200 mig welder, I have friends that can mill, turn & waterjet metal for a good price. My main idea is to build the shell, get it to push over 250whp, then get a clean southern LX/EX and migrate all the parts. Even if I sell it all, most was bought used, so I have little money to loose.

tsnunderground, I'd love to see some pictures, even old crappy scans - even just details. I'd love to have seen that, a 4dr smoking V8's. Unfortunately, all 4g4dr's around here are just rusty econo rice boxes.

I'll be boosting my ZC powered EX as soon as I can. Might be a while, tho... I just bought another motorcycle and I need to get that rolling again.

Well on ebay right now they have a b-series turbo mani for dsm turbo's, you would need a dsm turbo 13g, 14b, s16g, b16g, or the bad boy evo III 16g with the O2 dump pipe, some fittings for the turbo oil lines, some oil lines, and a oil filter sandwich plate with the opitional cooler, and a custom down pipe, with some dsm 450cc injectors and a vfac with an intercooler and you ould be around 250 whp.

Well I got a 14b lastnite for free from my buddy, he put a s16g on his 1g dsm. So it now looks like I may be doing a converting to obd1 and going with neptune because of the extra $$$ so wish me the best of luck.
