I thought the Mail Relay will keep the ECU from getting power,

if thats the case, push starting the car wont work.

No power to ECU, no firing of the injectors.

i dont know about the injectors, if the realy IS GOING bad then you still get power to the ecu, i know ive lookd at it. and push starting will work. what you do since you have an hf...lightest model...push or get someone to push then when you think you have enough speed let go then push the clutch in as fast as you can. keep in mind the the whole time you do this the car must me in the ON postion. pm me if you have more questions.

yeah, sounds like its at your battery. check the connections on the terminals, wiggle em around and clean em up if dirty. try jumpstarting it. gotta be at the battery, mine did that and thats what it was

It could be the starter or alternator.

the alt will not keep it from starting... its either your starter or a fuse... i doubt its your battery considering that you get power to everything else... if you dont believe me then switch batteries with a known good one and see if that helps... you might also want to check all your connections like at the starter and what not

Well if you can roll start your car, that narrows it down to starting factors. That involves the battery, starter, ignition fuse, and any other possible fuses under the hood.

I was wiring up my push button ignition a while ago and sparked something. finished the install and went to start the car. Got ignition lights, but no action when I tried to start. Fried the ignition fusible link.
