Default Honda Element, parts and ECUs?

Is there any parts from other K series that fit an Element and what about re-flashing one to get some extra power?

I have a friend that is very close to buying one but wants to know if they is a way to squeeze some extra power out of it cheaply and easily.

thanks!

It should be no problem to use most of what is developed on the k20a's on the K24s in the Element. I believe the only k24 shortblock that you can bolt a type S head to without changing the pistons is the CRV block. The CRV pistons are the only pistons to have enough valve clearance. This is all based on what I've been told.

I have assembled a CRV block with a Type S head for a friend of mine and we put it in his 2001 Civic. No problems and plenty of power even with that 9.6:1 CR

Unless the Element is throttle by wire, you should be able to use Hondata K-Pro in your cars

Good luck.

I know that sometimes swapping heads on K series isnt always bolt on, a few bits and pieces dont fit or clear, so theres a little custom work to be done. However, bolting in the TSX motor would boost your car to 200hp, 166tq, so thats definatly an improvement, and becaue its a cable tranny, should have no trouble swapping in a K-series manual 6-speed. Beastly element yo!
Check it.

Hopefully a project car:
