Default 98-98 -2- 99-00 Tails

Just put 99-00 tails on my 96 hatch, the turn signal bulb is 7440 and clear, seems they dont make 7440 in amber, so whats everyone do for their turn signal??

for clear turn signals.

PIAA makes them in amber. If that's too expensive try some 7440 Amber LED's

you can get some at autozone. just take your stock bulb and find one that has the same type of connection. no need to pay attention to part #'s.

Yeah no other bulb has the same connection as the 7440 at least in amber, at advance auto parts..

if it's like most turn signal bulbs it's probably an 1156 or 1157 depending on if it stays on and blinks or just blinks (single and dual filament)

its a 7440 bulb bro, not a 1156 or 57, and most auto parts stores dont make 7440 in amber, so I guess most people are painting the bulbs...guess thats my next project. Thanks tuck'd, anyone else who has did this could let me know what they do to thanks!

I had the same problem with my civic coupe tailights conversion. They would blink white. I bought the led one's from ebay but they were fast blinker and I didn't know that before I bought them. Go to a art and craft store, ask them for glass paint, and then just buy a brush. That is what I did and it work cool. I tried using orange spray paint but they would blink red. Good Luck

I got my 7440's in amber at Napa. I wasnt happy about spending $15 on them when the clear sell for $5.
But with white (and the blue bulbs that came in my car), you couldnt see the turn signal during the day.
