Default swaybar question

i own a 94 accord lx . i know it doesnt come with a rear swaybar . so i am thinking about buying one to see if my suspension would be better and more balanced . my question is that if i use an aftermarket swaybar like st/progress, will it cause oversteer with a stock lx front swaybar ? or would it be better to buy a stock ex rear swaybar instead ? i want my car to be more balanced and i dont really want to create any oversteer .

Traditionally, when a rear sway bar is added to a car that did not have one prior, a correspondingly heavier one is swaped for the front one to maintain the same front / rear "balance" (as in Oversteer / Understeer).
Adding a rear bar without increasing the front will actually cause it to understeer (plow thru turns) more sinse the front is now working less (proportinally) than the rear.
I'd suggest either both Front and Rear bars from an EX or a kit from Suspension Techniques (or others)

I'd save the money that you would spend on sway bars and upgrade to Rear discs. If you do, it will come with a rear sway bar and you can decide if you want more. Really Oversteer isn't bad at all. I'd rather have Oversteer than understeer. But FWD cars understeer more than oversteer.

Agreed.

Just a point as well, the ST front sway for the is the same thickness as the OEM EX. However the only difference being it's solid not hollow.
