if you have spark compression and fuel the only thing it could be is timing. i know you said it is good but did you take the valve cover off and check the timing marks? the arrows should both point up if you have the crank mark lined up. if you have already done this then disregard this message.

30-60 per pistion only? damn thats pretty low..LS should be pusing atleast 130 all across......when you did your compression test did you hold the throttle open? because that is way way too low..might be your problem there..bad motor.

Just checking but were you pressing the accelerator when doing the compression test?

Yes bad compression would definately not cause it to start.

I would check your timing marks and also to make sure the insides of the distributor is put back together correctly.

a poor compression reading could be due to not holding the throttle down. also if your timing belt jumped a tooth your intake cam may not be opening the valves at the right time. this could cause a very low compression reading and the motor not to start. what type of distributor problems did you have? if it was binding this could cause the belt to jump a tooth. did you take off the valve cover and check the timing marks? if the motor started before i would doubt that your compression readings have anything to do with it not starting. as long as all the cylinders are close it is probably fine

your intake valve is probably open while the piston is moving up. TAKE THE VALVE COVER OFF AND CHECK THAT THE CAM GEARS ARE LINED UP. the arrows on the gears should both point straight UP if you have the motor rotated to top dead center for the #1 cylinder. it even says up on them. spraying started fluid in your throttle when your car is already getting fuel is going to get you nowhere.

when the crank mark is pointing at 12 o'clock (tdc) your intake and exhaust cam marks should be facing each other.
