keep your stock muffler and hollow it out. run apexi n1 piping to the muffler and make sure and have a 2.5" outlet.

what b16?
b16a1 or b16a2?

if youre running a 2000 si motor(b16a2) then you could keep that muffler...
i wish i had a pic...
i had the stock muffler on(hollowed out) with n1 piping... we just cut a bigger inlet and outlet hole in the muffler and put some new pipe on there and flanged it to fit...
its not a bad setup, it is kinda loud though.

not going to pass with a hollowed out cat...
the muffler doesnt change the emissions of your car, just the decibals of your exhaust.

you should look into a high flow cat...

really, if you plan to build this car at all, you should buy a header, high flow cat and just run piping into your old muffler...

all that shouldnt really cost you much over $500 and youll get decent performance out of opening everything up.
