d15a1/d15b2 motor swap
I've got a project im working on. I'm trying to put a d15b2 motor out of a 91 civic dx into an 87 crx. the crx has d15a1 carb motor. the d15b2 is fuel injected. my question is, will the d15b2 block and head bolt up and work in the crx without any problems? also, will the intake and exhaust bolt up? any help with this will greatly increase my chance of success.
I don't see why it wouldn't all fit. The only real problems are d-series trannys & axles from that era. Heads from the tegs fit on newer d's just fine. Also, lots of sohc ZC's came carb'd, which can be converted mpfi easily.
you'll have to change the mounts from the old carb engine to the fuel injected one
also, the fact that the crx is a carbureted model, you will have to take both halves of the harness from the fuel injected engine in order for it to work. pain in the a$$
but very possible.

oh and also on the carbureted engine, the fuel pump is located on the head,
you will have to take the fuel pump, and possibly even the tank and switch them out too.
