d16y7 block ,d16y8 head..what dizzy ??

Default d16y7 block ,d16y8 head..what dizzy ??

k i have 00 d16y7 block and i bought a d16y8 head but it never came with a distributor...i bought a 96-98 ex distibutor and the bolts didn't line up? weird, wat dizzy fits this? i called the local shop and they said there's 2 types for the d16y8?
help me out i'm lost!
thanks ...all going in a 92-95 civic

Why don't you just run the Z6 distributor?

The Y7 and Y8 dizzy's are the same part so you could use either. I'm not sure why the Y8 one didn't fit unless they sold you the wrong part. The Z6 dizzy will not line up on a Y8 head. If you are dropping the motor into an OBD1 car then you'll have the rewire the Y7/Y8 dizzy to OBD1 plug style.

Thanks alot guys, i have thought they were the same..turns out the guy sold me the wrong one!!! took forever to figure out why it didnt' fit,...wihtout your help i wouldn't even have figured it out lol
