i get a rubbing noise when im backing up but it only seems to do it when i have it in gear and not when im just rolling back. the noise is kind of like when your driving on a broken axle but of corse its not broken or my car wouldnt move at all. well any ideas?

u sure its not a whinning sound?
since reverse gear is straight cut it makes a diff sound then your 1st-5th gear

 

no its not, its something rubbing or binding up

 

possibly pads/drums sticking

 

thats not a bad idea ill have to check that out
