Default 97 accord SOHC VTEC "Throtle body"

Has anyone ever tryed to "bore" the throtle body?
How much of a difference could that make, considering your still using the original throtle body?
Has anyone ever done that "at home"??
Did it help?
Thanks for any answers!!

Boring out this throttle body is possible on your own but getting it done professionally will give more power since it will be a more even, smooth job. Of course neither will gain too much on that engine so it may be a moot subject. Anyhow check accordperformance.com, I think they have some already done and you just send in your TB.

I bore Honda Throttle bodies. I can bore yours 4mm over the stock bore and make a new bigger butterfly.
Click on the link in my signature for info.

Sanford, but I am a mail order only business.
I bore the manifold opening only. Something you should have done only if you are using the stock manifold.
Thanks

H23 came in the Prelude here. It's a DOHC non-VTEC engine. There are also JDM versions of course though I'm not sure which cars those were in on the other side.

You could get it done at a local machine shop. I did mine at home with a dremmel. It took forever and it's still not perfectly smooth.
