Koni install problem/question
I purchased a set of koni Race shocks for my 94 honda civic. On the instructions it says I can adjust the firmness of the shock by turning it clockwise while gripping the main shaft with a vice (before instalation of course). What is the purpose of this? Can't I adjust it the same way using the white plastic key included with the shocks? I also turned one of them (can't remember which one
) how do I reset it back to zero?

it controls the how stiff you want your shocks to be
you can have full 2 rotations, turning right will make it stiff(less bouncier)
and turning it left will make is more bouncier
so turn it alll the way left and start turning them right, until you think it is stiff enuogh for you.

but do I have to do this while they are out of the car or adjusting them with the white key achieves the same results?

I would like to know what instructions are telling you do this with a vise before you install the shocks, I have only ever adjusted my Koni Yellows with the adjustment **** on the top of the shock.
Which Koni's do you have? Red or Yellow?

in the box, the instructions say to "test" them out by holding the rod with a vise and pushing and pulling the shock... also says to test turn them in both directions.. but if you're turning and it's not stopping after 1.5-2 turns, you're either turning the whole rod itself or the shock is faulty... more likely the first.

Well it has been said many times over and I have to agree, Koni's instruction suck. Mine don't say test anywhere. I wish I had the time to scan them so you guys could see. Ohh well, at least I have no doubts now. Thanks a lot.
