How do I remove the passenger airbag from a EG civic? and how hard would it be

 

if youre gonna get rid of it let me know cause i need a black one

It's pretty simple. Remove the glove box, remove the plastic behind it. Unplug airbag and plug in red safety connector. Two 10mm nuts hold the bottom to the metal bar under the dash and then there are 4 10mm nuts up top. You will most likely need an assortment of extensions and a universal joint because the area you will be working in is tight. But otherwise it's a breeze.

can the dash be replace with a dash without the passenger airbag(92-93) after it is taken out?

Yes sir, that is exactly what I did. However if you have black interior you will have to re-color one. I suggest using SEM flexible coating. You can see where there are two parts on a 92-95 dash. The area along the bottom, sides and defrost is ABS and the rest is vinyl. You need to clean the **** real good with any good soap that doesn't leave a residue. Its always nice to buy the nice body shop quality soap for cleaning vinyl and plastics.
On the ABS you will have to lightly sand it with a 400 grit paper. I prefer wet sanding. You should also gently scuff the vinyl section. Then clean. Dry with some sort of towel that doesn't produce lint. You could even get tack cloth to make sure there is no dust or lint before you paint. Let it air dry for a while before painting as well.

You should spray a plastic adhesion promoter on the ABS part as well. The SEM vinyl colorcoat can be found here

EDIT: well I looked and they actually don't, I'm sure the phone book or online listing could direct you to a local body shop supplier since aerosals will probably cost more to ship. But the color coat will be right around the $13 mark a can and 3 cans will do the entire dash. The plastic primer is bigger and more expensive so figure $60-$65 for pretty much all the supplies. If you have a spray gun you can get the **** much cheaper mixed in cans. Plus the SEM coating can be customized in this case. SEM has more colors in aerosal than the link shows too.

Just be patient with it all the way through no matter what you do. Airbags save lives, but inproper handling can kill. I personally thing it's fun to lay em down and use like 15 feet of wire and a car battery to deploy em. LOL..

spot on, but u missed the very first step!!!
make sure u disconnect the battery before messing with the airbag.
Negative terminal, then positive
