Default Recommendation for the best head gasket for a boosted H22

Just want to know from what you've heard and experienced as far as what is the best headgasket to use for a JR Superchaged H22A4 boosting at 10 psi. I need to replace mine, and wondering what should I go with.

stock should do fine, at 10psi. Or go with a cometic.

stock can go to crap between the cylinders, and start to leak water at around 10 or over, give raceeng.com a call and tell them u want a cometic for boost, they will hook u up at a good price-

I also run an OEM headgasket...500+ on pump with no problems at all. I did have I have had some problems with thick Cometic gaskets sealing properly between cylinders on my old h23 setup, but I also have put together many high hp motors (over 500whp) running Cometic, so they must be able to do the trick also.
On my new setup I run stock...and always will.

sorry to bother you but i was wondering if you could answer a question for me. i have a 98 prlude which i recently bought 18" rims 225/40/18 stock was 205/50/16. I have a little tire rub going on the outside of the fenders i was wondering if it was possible to widen the fender or just change the suspension to coil over to stiffen it up. If you could give me a better suggestion i would really apriciate it if you could tell me.

I think there was a thread on this subject and a lot of people was running the OEM head gasket with no problems.

Thanks for the input guys. I forgot to mention that I have a 89 mm cylinder bore diameter (2 mm over stock), I'm curious if stock might not work properly since there will be a 1 mm HG overhang between the head and the cylinders (I'm wondering if that's why my current stock HG is now bad). I'm thinking of going with cometic since they do make a 89 mm HG for H22A4's.

89mm?? Live on the edge much....

Anyway, OEM is more than fine for stock bore but you'd probably want a cometic.

I have blown out 2 cometics this year. First one was on 30lbs of boost making 604whp. 2nd one was on pump gas at 14lbs making 420whp. The head and block were both decked. And when replacing the first one i checked the head and the block with a straight edge and they were not warped and still perfect. Running arp head studs torqued to 105ft-lbs. I think i might try an OEM one this time. Both times it leaks boost into the coolant passages, so normal driving is fine, but if i boost it sprays coolant out wherever it fines a way out. But i'm yet to see any oil/coolant mix.

nope, nothing. just been loss of coolant from it spraying out under boost. I'm for sure just going to try an oem head gasket. I'm getting good at changing them

I have one block running 88mm pistons and another running 88.5mm pistons. Both use OEM headgaskets...but both gaskets have also been trimmed a little to ensure proper bore size. You can always trust an OEM piece

for that bore you need a cometic custom.
