Its on a civic frame and has a B-series so its "Civic tech related"


My wife has a 2000 CRV EX RT4WD.Coming home last night she cut the corner in the neiborhood a bit to sharp and went up the curb.She tells me she heard a scrape sound when it happened.

I didnt know about this and I come home from work today and there a huge puddle of tranny fluid on the ground.I ask her what happened and it took a bit for her to tell me.She also drove the it up to the store today even after looking at the fluid on the floor.Damn it why (most) females know anything about cars?

Anyways what could it be?

Mainseal?
Cracked housing?

what?

What should I check for damage without pulling it?

Ok i got under the CRV and I see where she scraped it.Its one of the bolts thats hangs low going sideways.It scraped some of the bolt and some of the tranny housing maybe 1/4 of an inch big if that.Thats mainly wheres it leaking from.

If it was only leaking from that bolt which is near the front of the car on the trans. it wouldnt run down all over the underside of the tranny would it?Im thinking its the mainseal.Are they hard to relplace?
