How do you know when your shocks are shot? I have arospeed coilovers on a 94 eg and the ride is harsh.

 

they will be bouncy as **** and not in a stiff way, your car will bottom out, push down on the car and if it bounces back up like twice then they are and of course you can always look and see if theyre leaking

 

so what does it mean when they are stiff as ****?

Your ride is horrible because you have Arospeed coilovers. If you paired them up with stock shocks then you get a forehand and a backhand slap for wondering why your ride is shitty.

 

i think the shocks are aftermarket. i dont know what brand they are. i got te car like that. the shock are blue

 

They could be just Tokico Blues which are aftermarket replacements for stock shocks which don't exactly hold up well when slammed on. I don't know how low you are but there is a good possibility that your shocks are blown resulting in the poor ride. Could also be that the spring rate on the coilovers aren't matched well with the shocks.

 

take your junk off and get a real suspension or go back to stock...thatll fix your problem
