13" wheels on a 5th gen
My brother is getting himself 13" wheels for the slicks on his Civic and we want to share them with my 5th gen Prelude.
The question is, "Is it possible to put 13" wheels on a 5th gen Prelude?" What type of brake setup do I need to make this happen? If it makes any difference, the dimensions of the slicks will be: 24.5x8x13 and the wheels will be Welds.
Thanks,
-Russ

i tried putting 14s (they were spare winter tires from an accord!) on my 5th gen, and they wouldn't fit. i'm not sure if they make any brakes that small for a prelude, you may need to go custom. and i'm assuming your brother has the 5 lug conversion?
Why would you even think about putting 13's onto your 5th Gen. The spare tire is a 15" wheel, and that barely fits, so 13's wouldn't even come close. You're not driving a Geo Metro, you're driving a damn Prelude
Are there any 4th gens that run 13" drag wheels, and if so, which model Prelude? Also, does anyone know if 4th gen spindles bolt up to the 5th gen (base) Prelude.
Of course if its possible I would like to keep my spindles and just bolt up the "re-drilled rotors" (for 5x114.5 bolt pattern) and calipers. Maybe even have someone make a bracket to bolt up the calipers.
Oh, and yes my brother has 5 lug hubs.

well you'd also need to replace the caliper bracket to adapt to the new smaller rotors.
it's gonna be kind of a headache, i imagine.
i fit 15's on my car fairly easily with some room to spare--i think if you found the right 14's they COULD work...but 13's is pushing it. maybe some custom wheels + 4th gen SI knuckles/rotors/calipers/etc...i guess basically a 4 lug swap.
