Default car wont start after I took of a spark plug

well i have a d15bvtec turbo engine in my hatch and i recently started to here detonation in my car so I decided to retard my timing, after that the car started fine and the idle was fine also. As I was standing in front of my motor I decided to unplug the spark plug wire on piston #1(just to see how it would idle) and it proceeded to shut down in a couple of seconds, I put it back on and tried to turn the car on but know the it wont start. Has any body ever had this happen or do you know what is causing this, all help would be greatly appreciated.

flood the cyl possibly? Take the plug out and is it covered in fuel. How long did you have it pulled off.

man, it was off for like 3 seconds. he went to crank it and it died. So we put the plug wire back on that fell off and nothing. We put a new coil in it, nothing. Swapped ecu's and dizzys off of a running car and still nothing. Help anyone! Car is a 2000 EX obd2-obd1 conversion. LS/VTEC

Most likely flooded. Just press the gas pedal as you start it. This will cause a spray of gas which will ignite and burn off the remaining gas. Good luck.

Disconnect your batt, take out your plugs and let them sit out of the motor for 15 mins. Put them back connect the batt. and try again.

each plug wire contains around 40,000 volts per spark and by taking that plug wire off you back fed all that power to the ignition module inside of your distributor and burnt it out

heres how to test and replace it
