ok this is the weirdest thing...i was just idling my car and checking to see if anything was leaking and admiring the engine bay when it just dies...i remember touching a plug wire and then the idle changed and then i let go of it and then it dies cold just like that. anyone have any ideas?

i just spent the last 3 hours trying to get it started again. i have some old dizzies but i didnt know if they worked. i tried them anyways but none of them worked. i check for spark by taking out a plug and then attaching it to a wire and getting my dad to crank it over while i was holding onto the wire. no spark. then i checked for fuel...i heard my fuel pump prime and i tried to turn it over and still no spark. so i checked a different plug by pulling it out and it was all wet with fuel sooooo i have fuel but no spark....can someone help???? thanks

oh ya all my grounds have to be good, like the one at the thermostat and valve cover....where should i look if my dizzy is in fact good? i have a friend coming over tommorow with a working gsr dizzy.

Check your distributor. Make sure all the plug wires are on the dist. nice and tight.

dude same ******* problem..i just posted a question about that as well i changed my distributor 2 day still wont start ( but i have spark now) i have been trough everything I'm stumped as well..try checking timing maby some how it slipped.

ya ill check it tommorow when ill have a fore sure working dizzy. the old ones i had could have been crap

it ended up being a coil. i had a few laying around that i thought worked but i guess not. but sure enough my friends dizzy fired it right up! thanks
