Wondering about exhaust dump
I have a turbo ITR, and it suffers from a lot of turbo lag (obviously). I know that running an open downpipe would help this problem, but I really don't want to run around without an exhaust all the time. SO, I was wondering where I could get an exhaust dump kit (preferably electric, but manual is OK too...not really sure what's out on the market) or how I could fab one up. Anyone tried this?
Thanks!

Just put the cutout wherever you want to.
If you were to get a 3" cutout, you'll be sent the 3" cutout and whatever else is needed for it to be opened. That's it.
Then you figure out the best way to integrate it into your system.

search FI forum for e cutout, from what i read it will affect your a/f so i 'd be concerned to run one myself.. whats the rest of your setup? like size of turbo/exhaust manifold/exhaust.. is it tuned?
A while back i went to an exhuast shop and they wanted $400(canadian dollars) parts and labour to install a electric exhuast cutout. Look around in your area you could probably find the parts and do it yourself easy enough
