Default Brake Problems

I wonder if any of you might know what's wrong with my ride here.

I have a '94 Accord. 5 speed EX model.

Every time I press my brake pedal down, it slowly goes further and further down as though the brake line is losing pressure....and it goes all the way down to the floor.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
T.

I would start with your master cylinder, if not check your brake booster, but i'm pretty sure it's you master cylinder...

If the system is not loosing fluid, look no furthur than your Master cylinder.

You're going to have to not only replace the Master Cylinder, but have the brake system inspected and flushed with new brake fluid.

Your master Cylinder failed because the brake fluid was never changed, and absorbed water over the years to the point that it started rusting metal bits.

Also, check wheel cylinders for leakage if you have drum brakes.

Not exactly I had the same problem! Brake Fluid is all you need just some slippage! Put some brake fluid in and pump the brake pedal until extremely tight!

use a honda part ... master is around 130-140 dollars, brake fluid u can get at autozone 2-3 dollars ,,,if a shop does the work depends on their hourly rate but it should be no more than 70-100 dollars

Thanks peeps,

I really should get on that ASAP 'cause it's not gonna help itself. hmm...I'm not so sure about that "add brake fluid" and pray move...maybe you had a slightly different problem.

Thanks for all the help though folks,

T.

Yeh, that and the STP sticker on the window.
You've a better chance of the car fixing itself.
